Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 brick cream cheese (8 oz)
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cream together: In a mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup butter, and 1 brick cream cheese, and cream together.
- Add Sugar & Vanilla: To the creamed mixture add the powdered sugar 1 cup to 1 ½ cups at a time mixing with an electric mixer between each addition. Add 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Note: This frosting is easy to make ahead of time and then chill in the fridge. However, it will get hard when cold and it's best to let it soften at room temperature before frosting cinnamon rolls, shortbread bars or piping onto cupcakes.
