Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars with Pretzels Recipe
Satisfy your sweet and salty craving with these peanut butter chocolate bars. The pretzels, potato chips, and Rice Krispies cereal make for a most satisfying crunch. Best of all, it’s super easy and can be made in one bowl within minutes.
Equipment
- 1 heatproof bowl
- 9×9 or 8×8 square pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup roughly chopped pretzels
- 1/2 cup potato chips (optional)
- 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Line with parchment paper and grease an 8×8 or 9×9 pan.
- In a heat-proof bowl, melt the chocolate, peanut butter, and butter. I like to use a double boiler for this because it’s easier for me to keep an eye on the melting chocolate, but you can melt this in the microwave or even in a slow cooker, too. Once melted, remove from the heat.
- Add the pretzels, potato chips, and Rice Krispies cereal, over the melted chocolate mixture. Mix until completely covered with chocolate. Please be careful, the chocolate will be hot.
- Transfer the chocolate mixture to the square pan. Freeze for about an hour or until completely cold. Serve freezing or cold.
- Cut and enjoy!
