Equipment
- large mixing bowl
- Electric hand mixer or Stand mixer
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold heavy cream
Instructions
- Combine: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup cream cheese and 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar. Mix with a spoon or whisk until smooth and well blended.
- Whip: Add 2 cups cold heavy cream, 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract, and 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract to the bowl. It's important for the heavy cream to be very cold, so best to keep it in the fridge right until you're ready to whip. Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the mixture on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Don't overwhip or the frosting may start to get grainy.
- Chill Until Ready to Use: Once whipped, transfer the frosting to the refrigerator to keep it cold until you’re ready to frost or serve.

Tips for Success
Keep Ingredients Cold: To achieve the best results, ensure the heavy cream is thoroughly chilled before whipping. It can be helpful to place your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for a few minutes before starting but it’s optional.
Adjust the Peppermint Flavor: Feel free to adjust the amount of peppermint extract to suit your taste—start with a little less and add more if needed.
Storage: Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
This Peppermint Whipped Cream Frosting is the ultimate holiday topping—light, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Use it to take your holiday desserts to the next level, or simply enjoy it by the spoonful (we won’t tell!).
