Reese’s Rice Krispie Bars
These Reese's Rice Krispie Bars are INSANELY delicious! The chocolate and peanut butter flavor combo paired with the gooey crunch of a Rice Krispies Treat is perfection. Plus, they're so easy to make, you can have them ready in minutes. This is an easy, sweet treat for my gluten-free friends too!
Equipment
- 9×9 pan
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter
- 10 ounces mini marshmallows (you can buy marshmallow bags in this size to make it easy to measure)
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 7.6 ounces Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups or similar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prep: Line a 9×9 pan with parchment paper and grease with butter.
- Melt: In a large, deep pan, melt 1/3 cup butter and 10 ounces mini marshmallows on low heat until just melted and remove from heat. Be patient and careful to avoid overcooking, resulting in a tough texture.
- Stir together: Add 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal and mix well.
- Incorporate: Add 7.6 ounces Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups and gently mix once again. You will have to work quickly to make sure all is mixed before the mixture cools down.
- Press into pan: Transfer the mixture to the prepared 9×9 pan and gently press into an even layer.
- Chocolate drizzle: Pour 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips into microwave safe bowl & cook in 30 second increments, stirring between each set until completely melted. Use a spoon to drag lines of melted chocolate across the top of the bars.
- Cool & Serve: Give it a few minutes to cool to room temperature. Cut into squares and dig in! Enjoy!
